This work is by the fabulous artist John Cerney, who has produced free-standing art and murals all around northern California. His outdoor work is usually larger than life and characterized by an intense color saturation that makes it suitable to be viewed from a distance. This mural is a little more subdued than most of Cerney's art, perhaps because it is outside a cafe, where it will be seen close up by entering customers. One typical Cerney touch is the cutout of Brando on the motorcycle - it is painted on a separate plywood board and stands a few inches in front of the wall.
