St Mary the Virgin church is very unique having the main church and tower seperate from one another. The vestry is a two storey part with a staircase leading to an upper room with a fireplace within in the north east angle.

It is very rare to come across an ornate chimney on a church. This one is a stone design with an attractive top and small pot.
