In the show "Surface" the character Rich Connelly played by Jay Ferguson runs into Baxter's Food Mart to pick up a few things. On his way back to his truck he sees a puddle of water and thinks he can see and hear his brother. At the beginning of the season Rich loses his brother to a odd sea monster while on a fishing trip. After that when ever he sees a water he thinks he can hear/see his brother. The Village Market in Downtown Wilmington, NC was used as Baxter's Food Mart.
