Vasquez Rocks, CA - Places of Geologic Significance on Waymarking.com

According to the web site, the formations were formed 8 to 15 million years ago. The rocks are on the Elkhorn fault which is a branch of the infamous San Andres Fault. Some of the formations are up to 150 feet tall. This Los Angeles County Park is about 745 acres and is located in Agua Dulce. The Pacific Crest Trail runs through the park.
