Built in 179 B.C., the bridge suffered catastrophic partial collapse in the flood of 1559, and never rebuilt. It was made transitable again i 1875 thanks to a metal suspension extension, which was then removed in 1915 in conjunction with the construction of the flood walls. Only one arch is still standing.
