To many, the Testaccio neighborhood is considered the "heart" of Rome. That is where the AS Roma soccer fans go to celebrate after a win. That is where the TV media goes to interview average citizens when sampling public opinion.

In piazza della Vittoria (trans: Victory Plaza) lies a small monument dedicated to the fallen of the 1915-18 war. On the relief sculpture, one can identify the she-wolf and the twins Romulus and Remus.
