The description gives the long way around on the gravel road to the firetower, which is appropriate for vehicles or mountain bikes. For hikers, take Lakeside trail or the lower service road to the Firetower trail.

The benchmark is very apparent near the firetower. I did not know about the reference disks, so will have to try to find them in the future.
