Lowell, MA. With it's "Mighty Merrimack" River and the Pawtucket falls, its canal system helped Lowell become the birthplace of America's Industrial Revolution.
The Boott Cotton Mill was a major player back in the day. Now it is home to The Boott Cotton Mill Museum, a part of Lowell National Historical Park and it also has approximately a hundred loft-style condominium units.
