This Confederate Memorial stands Section 21, The Confederate Section, of Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan, Georgia. Buried in this section are 268 Confederate Soldiers, only two of which are unknown. Most of the soldiers who rest here died of wounds while being treated at hospital located in and aroun Newnan. The memorial bears the inscriptions:

"1861 - 1865
Our Confederate dead. No cause e're rose so just and true, None feel so free from crime. Erected by Ladies Memorial Association to the memory of our Southern Heros who wore the gray.
Out numbered not conquered.
