The bench is made out of steel and wood, and looks sort of like a sleigh. The front "wheel" contains the words: "Lest our rest become lost in labor".

""Lost in Labor" was created by mixed media artist David George Fricke Jr. The public art bench was unveiled Tuesday by the West Side Business Association, whose members commissioned the public art work.

Fricke, who's originally from Memphis, most recently lived in Boston before moving to Cookeville. He said his art career began in carpentry.

Fricke said that he was able to use his own vision in creating the piece for the west side area."
