Description of Memorial:
Large triangle of grass, closed in by three tree lined streets. One paved, two cobblestoned. Spread out flag display wraps around a large marble column with wings. On the column is an eagle standing proper on the world with wings proper uplifted. The wings contain the names of World War II veterans from the county. Small stone planted in the ground contain the participants from the Korean War and Vietnam war. Visible in the photo is a marble flat rock on base that represents the World War I memorial. When I was here it was one of the first efforts I made to collect memorials. I was primarily interested in historic markers, but a personal interest in Veterans Memorials without any intent to post anywhere.
