From the college website: "Founded in 1794, Tusculum College is the oldest college in Tennessee, the twenty-eighth oldest college in the nation, and the oldest coeducational institution affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA). The wooded 140-acre Tusculum College campus has eight buildings and the Tusculum Arch that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places."
As far as the college goes, a very usual concept is the "Focused calendar" where students take just one course at a time. Eight course slots are offered in the academic calendar (4 per semester). Each course lasts 3 and one-half weeks, followed by a four day break. During summer, three optional blocks are offered to interested students.
Wonderful fall day to be out enjoying the area.
