Carstairs is a small town of about 3000 people in rural Alberta. The visitor info center is built in the shape of a grain elevator. This is due to the areas dependence on agriculture as it's main industry.
The center is located in the town campground. The washrooms are not in the building itself but about 20 yards away in the campground. There are also a playground and trailer dumping facilities in the immediate area for those who are camping or traveling thru.
While there is no food or beverage available at the visitor center it is right across the road from a restaurant.
Hours of Operation:
Monday to Saturday - 1 to 6 pm
Sundays - closed
Open from May until Sep 30.
Public Washrooms: Mens and Womens Only
