It is believed that there has been a church and burial ground on the site alongside the River Itchen since the 13th century. The old church was in poor condition so it was decide to build a new church in the village centre. The old church was abandon, when in 1840, the new church was opened. The new church had its own churchyard so the old churchyard fell out of use.
The Old Churchyard is now in the care of the Otterbourne Conservation Group.
Earliest Burial: 12/11/1810
