Cowper's Lodge used to be called Weston Lodge and belonged to the large estate in Weston Underwood. Sir George Throckmorton, the owner of the estate, offered the house to William Cowper and Mrs Unwin after there was trouble in Olney town with their accommodation there. He lived there on and off between 1786 and 1795.
The house is the same stone style as the others in the village with many rooms, a red tiled roof and a green door.
