The South Side Works is a commercial and retail urban re-development, created in 2003 that converted a "brown field" area left by the razing of an old steel mill (J & L steel). Partly funded with public finances, the area has been a sucess, with tax revenue coming from sales receipts of upscale stores, movie theather, restaurants. This sign displays a map of the new urban development.
