This waymark is located at the top northernmost edge of Cove Mountain in Perry County, PA. The northerly view overlooks Sherman's Creek and the valley far below. Hawk Rock is accessed by the Appalachian Trail and is noted on AT maps and in guide books. It's used by almost every southbound AT hiker as a resting point after making the steep trek up Cove Mountain. Parking is available near Duncannon, PA at N40 22.977 W77 01.969.
