From Wikipedia: KTLA, channel 5, is a television station in Los Angeles, California. Owned by the Tribune Company, KTLA is an affiliate of the CW Television Network. KTLA's studios are on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, and its transmitter is located atop Mount Wilson. The station's signal covers the Southern California region, and KTLA is also available as a regional superstation via cable and satellite in the United States and Canada.
KTLA was the first commercially licensed television station in the western United States, having begun operations in 1947.
