The following information about the Gatorland Express Train is available on the internet (visit link):

The Gatorland Express Railroad leaves about every 20 minutes from a small station behind Lily’s Pad. It’s a scaled-down steam engine that takes you on a lazy loop circling the Alligator Breeding Marsh and crocodile exhibits (see below). While not the most exciting of experiences, it provides a painless introduction to Gatorland and alligator lore. There is, however, an additional $2 charge for this attraction, which is probably not worth it unless your kids insist. On the other hand, the charge lets you ride as often as you wish. In the humid summer months, a chance to sit down in the shade, feel the breeze as the train chugs along, and let someone else show you around shouldn’t be underrated.

The engineer/narrator is a gator wrangler taking a break from his more strenuous chores at the live shows. He points out sights of interest along the route and fills you in on Gatorland’s purpose and the range of its attractions. The train makes a stop by Pearl’s Smokehouse, near the entrance to the Jungle Crocs; you can get off here but can’t get on.
