A cliff with a view is accessed by trail from the Crescent Rock Overlook in Shenandoah National Park.

A graded trail begins at the north end of the wall at Crescent Rock Overlook and gently climbs .3 miles to a rock ledge and a wide view of neighboring mountains and the valley below.

In spring, look for pink moss phlox and cinquefoil, a small white flower with toothed leaves. In summer, look for mountain laurel in bloom.

The rock is named for Betty Allis, whose husband, James, built the trail to it many years ago.
