The Hamilton County Courthouse is the fourth county courthouse located on the site. The construction of the courthouse was completed in 1919. The building was designed by Rankin, Kellogg & Crane in a adapted Greek Ionic style. The building used to house many of the county's offices and jail (was located in attic space) besides housing the county courts, however now the building houses mostly the courts and court related offices with the other offices and the jail relocated to other buildings.
