Volney Center Cemetery is a small cemetery located on State Route 3, across from the Volney Center Fire Department. The two things about this cemetery that I thought was odd, is that it has no fencing around it and is wide open to the highway that passes within a few feet of the nearby grave stones, also it has no signage indicating the name of the cemetery. I did some quick research to verify the name for this waymark on the internet. This cemetery contains approx. 150 graves and some are relatively new, so it appears to be still in use today.
