This is one of a dozen 18th & 19th century (now commercial) properties lining E. Main St. in historic Moorestown. Most of these sites are contributing structures to the Moorestown Historic District found on the National Register of Historic Places.

Comparatively speaking, this site (now a business duplex) is modest to the surrounding business structures. The original building in the rear has a European flavor to it. It is something one might expect to see near the banks of the Tiber or perhaps the Arno Rivers. It is definitely something you would see in Pisa, like a summer home. Anyway, some genius decided to mess it all up in the 20s and add a commercial-brick facade. Yuck! Despite the purposeful tribute to ugliness, it has managed to remain a contributing structure. Strain your eyes, you'll see why. Today there are two businesses which make their homes here: Green Apple Bistro & La Manzanna Verde (a Mexican joint).

Located at 73-75 East Main Street in downtown Moorestown, this is one of 351 contributing buildings/structures to this historic district.

The Department of the Interior sent me the following narrative/information on this house:
"c.1840. 3-story, 3-register stuccoed Italianate brick house with rear wing and front early-1900s second floor enclosed in Colonial Revival porch. Original house 2/2 double hung sash at first floor (side), 6/6 double hung sash above with snap-in muttins. Bracketed cornice, flat roof. 1920s one-story brick commercial addition across front, two shop fronts Arts and Crafts-style influence in decorative tile work. - Contributing.
