In March 1775 Patrick Henry gave his famous speech " Give me liberty or give me death" at Saint John's Episcopal Church in Richmond, Virginia. Also, buried here is Elizabeth Arnold Poe, mother of Edgar Allan Poe.

Guided tours of the church are given Monday-Saturdays from 10am-4pm and Sundays from 1pm-4pm.
