Description: Anthony Chabot was a nineteenth-century entrepreneur who developed hydraulic mining and for building water systems, especially in the Bay Area. He became known as the "Water King" and a local reservoir bears his name. He also donated a telescope to the Oakland Observatory which quickly became known as the Chabot Observatory.
