The Hume Baptist Church was founded on September 12 1835 a small building was used until 1850 when the present building on Claybed Rd. was erected. The cost was $3,000.00 including the lot . The church has nine stained glass windows all depicting something different. Services are still held and been given by Pastor Stroud .
