A stone cross mounted in a stone socket hidden in a modern conifer plantation, with tracks through to Ramsley Moor.

This cross is weathered through using a soft stone and is secure in its base of stone. Their is an inscription on one corner of the base. JD (?) 1888 (?) perhaps. Marked on the maps as 'cross'. It is recognised as a scheduled ancient monument by Peak District National Park Authority.
