The station is opened in 1878, then also the traveller service on this route was started. After some years in 1894, the associated air terminal started subside seriously as a result of which the demolish had become. Also the second building was no long life beschoren. In 1911, it was heavily damaged after a short but violent fire. In 1913, the current station has been built with the associated characteristic turret.
