The Reading & Northern Railroad is a regional railroad in eastern Pennsylvania that operates over 300 miles of track. We are a close knit family of employees who take the time to get to know all of our customers on a first name basis and learn their individual needs.
Our base of operations is located in Port Clinton, PA and office hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday. The Reading & Northern primarily hauls coal out of the Anthracite fields of eastern Pennsylvania for shipment throughout the entire United States, Canada, and exportation throughout the world. However, our shipments are not limited to coal. We also haul a wide variety of other products, including paper, lumber, plastics, fertilizer, stone, sand, road salt, brick, and fly-ash.
From this lcoation, one can pick up the Appalachian Trail.
