The Carnegie Building is a two floor sandstone building at the northeast corner of Lorain and Professor streets in Oberlin, Ohio, on the campus of Oberlin College. The building is in the Romanesque style and was designed by architects Patton and Miller of Chicago, although the Oberlin College sign in front of the building mentions only Norman Patton as the architect.

Azariah Root, librarian at the earlier Spear Library at Oberlin College, requested and received a $125,000 grant from Andrew Carnegie to build the library on campus. A matching grant of $100,000 was obtained to provide for a public library in the same building. The cornerstone of the building reads 1907, and the library was open for business in fall of 1908. The public library was housed on the first floor, and the second floor contained a large reading room. By the mid-1920s, Oberlin College owned about 500,000 items and was the largest college library in the country.

The Carnegie Library was expanded in 1939, but by the 1950s, it was once again in need of more space. In 1974, a new college library was opened. The public library stayed in the Carnegie building for another 14 years before moving to South Main Street in Oberlin.

Currently, the Carnegie Building is in use by the geology department of Oberlin College as well as for the offices of admissions and financial aid.
