Designed by S. Charles Lee, the Loma Theatre opened in 1945, the price being the purchase of a $100 war bound. This landmark closed in 1988 and is now home the Barnes & Noble Bookstar, with the magnificent marquee and much of the interior preserved.

Although this wonderful theater marquee has been preserved, when we visited, the "A" was out on the south side, and the "M" missing on the north side of the LOMA sign.
