The Kellogg Observatory is located on the roof of the Buffalo Museum of Science. The observation platform was renovated in 1997 after being closed for several years, making it safe again for use. However, the observatory is open to the public only during special astronomical events, such as eclipses, or special museum events. The telescope contained inside the observatory is an 8" refracting telescope.
