A few friends and I have been coming to this area in the fall for the past several years. This spot has always been good. This year (2007) we took about a hundred small month bass and a decent pike from this location. Released all of them.

The Moon River basin is know for its Pike, Pickerel (Walleye), and Small
Mouth Bass.
The waymark coordinates are only accessible over water.
Canoes to light powered aluminum boats are sufficient for this and nearby
locations. Larger craft should be used when the weather requires or if you
wish to venture out into Georgian Bay. There are several marinas and camp
grounds, nearby Grisdales
is where I stay. Easily reached (three seasons) from the main highway
400 which is 45 minutes away. Light to medium tackle is fine. We use
8 pound test, or so, line and six foot rods and spinning reels. Spinners
seems to work best. Some success with plugs late in the fall. One
friend took a six pound bass using worms. This is typical Canadian shield
country. All types of bottoms from sand, to rock, to silt/mud and the
vegetation to fit. Many a steep drop off or holes - bring your sonar.
If you have the desire, tackle, gear, time and armament,
or just feel lucky, you can go after the occasional monster Muskellunge. The Ontario record Muskie
weighed 65 pounds and measured 58 inches in length with 30.5 inches in girth.
