The Appomattox County Confederate Memorial stands on the grounds of the Appomattox County Courthouse. It stands as an everlasting tribute to the Confederate Veterans of Appomattox County. This Confederate Memorial was erected by the Sons of Confederate Veterans and was dedicated on October 14, 1905.
On May 28, 2000 The Sons of Confedereat Veterans Camp 1733 deicated a second smaller monument that is located at the base of the original Confederate Memorial. This smaller monument lists the Appomattox County Units who served in the Confederate States Army.
