The Museo de sitio Inti-ñan (Inti-ñan is "Pathway of the sun" in Kichwa) is located at the true equator as calculated by GPS receivers in 1995. The outdoor museum offers guided tours with fun, silly experiments performed on and off of the equator (such as draining a sink, balancing an egg, and a test of strength), and a glimpse into indigenous life with blow darts, shrunken heads and a true native house. Well worth a visit if you're in or around Quito.

There is a small entrance fee.
