Jonathan Draper was born in Roxbury MA. He married Silence Copeland. April 17, 1775, he enlisted as a private for 8 days under Captain Moses Draper and on May 1, 1775 he enlisted for 13 1/2 months under Col. Gardner and Captain Moses Draper. He enlisted again on 27 August 1776 for 3 months under Col. Brewer and Capt. Cowel; also served 10 days in spring of 1777 under Captain William Proctor of New Hampshire.
