Former Great Northern (& Burlington Northern) Caboose number X-294 is now nicely restored and used as an interpretive center at the west end of the Iron Goat Trail near Stevens Pass Washington.

Although the caboose was closed the day I stopped by, there is a wealth of information on the signs near by that tell the history of the original Great Northern Railroad line over Stevens Pass. The trail which is about 9 miles long climbs to the former town site of Wellington, just below the west side of Stevens Pass.
Current Use:
Interpretive Center at the west end of the Iron Goat Trail.
