The Hanford Carnegie Museum in Hanford, CA was designed by McDougall Bros and built by David Gamble with the help of a $12,000 Carnegie grant. The building served as a library from its opening in 1905 until it closed in 1971.
In 1974 the building was reopened as a museum with exhibits that depict the history, culture, people and lifestyle of the area. The building is in downtown Hanford, located amongst several other well-preserved historic buildings, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
