Gloucester is the home to Britain's most Inland Port, with some outstanding Victorian Warehouses. In its heyday the Gloucester Docks formed the gateway for waterborne traffic into the Midlands, when tall ships and barges queued for miles along the Gloucester and Sharpness canal. Today Gloucester Docks is known for its award-winning museums, attractions, shops and restaurants.
