DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1972 (JCL) THE STATION IS THE BALL ON TOP OF A SMALL CUPOLA, THAT IS ATOP AND CENTER OF THE DOME ON A TWO STORY, GRAY, GRANITE BLOCK, BUILDING. THE DOME IS LIGHT GREEN IN COLOR AND IS 90 FEET HIGH. IT IS THE CHATTOOGA COUNTY COURTHOUSE DOME. THE DOME IS LOCATED IN THE CENTER OF SUMMERVILLE, 140 FEET SOUTH OF WASHINGTON STREET AND 125 FEET WEST OF THE CENTER OF U.S. HWY. 27.
