LOCATION.--Lat 33°49'10?, long 84°24'28? referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Fulton County, Hydrologic Unit 03130001, on downstream side of center pier of bridge on Northside Drive, 0.4 miles downstream from Tanyard Branch, and 4.0 miles upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA.--86.8 mi².
WATER-DISCHARGE RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD.--
DISCHARGE: June 1958 to current year.
GAGE-HEIGHT: June 1958 to current year.
GAGE.--Satellite telemetry with a water-stage recorder and continuous water-quality monitor. Datum of gage is 763.96 feet above National Geodetic Vertical Datum (NGVD) of 1929 (City of Atlanta benchmark). Prior to May 27, 1963, water-stage recorder located at site 1,000 feet downstream at same datum.
COOPERATION.--Georgia Geologic Survey, City of Atlanta.
REMARKS.--Discharge records fair, except for periods of estimated records, which are poor. Gage-height records fair.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 14,600 cfs, September 16, 2004, maximum gage height 22.66 ft September 16, 2004; minimum daily discharge 5.1 cfs, September 10, 2002.
