Named by the Board of Trustees, September 1972, in grateful recognition for distinguished service. Victor M. Davis, a 1920 UT Alumnus, served the university as YMCA Secretary 1925-1936 and as Alumni Secreter 1926-1948. His outstanding leadership and guidance helped to establish many university traditions, including the Alma Mater, The Volunteer Symbol, The Passing of the Torch, The Aloha OE Ceremony and The Placement Service.
