The Wilderness Outdoor Movie Theater claims to be the world's largest drive-in theater. The main screen is 100 x 50 ft. the largest in the world. The drive-in added a second screen in 2007. Sound is broadcast through FM Radio.
It's nestled in the North Georgia Mountains, just minutes from Chattanooga, TN. Located in a valley, the Wilderness not only provides parking for cars, but has a grassy hillside for those wanting to sit outside or for large groups of people. The concession area has several picnic tables located nearby and clean restrooms for patrons.
They promote a safe family environment and can accommodate larger groups such as churches, youth groups, scouts, ball teams etc. Several events are usually held here throughout the season including car shows.
