Sycamore (platanus occidentalis) planted at the University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee. The seedling was received by Charles Cheston (head of the Forestry Department) and members of the Forestry Club on April 7, 1976.
I had a little bit of trouble locating this tree. It was not marked on campus. I found professor Scott Torreano, Professor of Forestry and Forestry Department Chair, and he pointed it out to me.
