The Confederate Memorial Arch stands at the entrance to the Confederate Section of Lynchburg's Old City Cemetery. Through this arch visit can visit the graves of more the 2,000 Confederate Veterans. The Confederate Memorial Arch was built in 1925 and stands as an everlasting tribute to the Confederate dead buried here. The Memorial Arch was designed by S. Preston Craighill of Lynchburg, Virginia.
