La chapelle n'est plus un lieu de culte mais demeure un but de promenade particulièrement apprécié. The vault is not any more one place of worship but remains a goal of walk particularly appreciated.

La Chapelle Saint GONVEL est située dans un champ au lieu-dit «Argenton» sur la commune de LANDUNVEZ. Elle fut construite au XVIème siècle et faisait autrefois l'objet d'une vénération toute particulière des marins. On y trouvait des statues anciennes des ex-voto et des bateaux. Tout a coté se trouve la croix de Saint GONVEL, un monument qui date du Moyen Age. Un peu plus haut, au bout d'un chemin se trouve toujours un Dolmen. Son clocher mur porte le témoignage d'un édifice autrefois plus vaste.
A l'angle sud-est de la construction un long bloc de pierre encastré supporte une reproduction graphique dont la signification est ignorée à ce jour. A l'intérieur de la chapelle on trouve un beau retable.
Le Pardon de Saint GONVEL avait lieu autrefois le troisième dimanche de septembre et connaissait un beau succès d'affluence. Sur la butte au-dessus, à proximité du dolmen, « une croix de la Marine » qui domina le lieu jusqu'à sa destruction il y a une cinquantaine d'années par des vandales.

The Vault Saint GONVEL is located in a field at the locality “Argenton” on the commune of LANDUNVEZ. It was built in XVIème century and was the subject formerly of a very particular veneration of the sailors. One found there statues old of the ex-votos and boats. All dimensioned is the cross of Saint GONVEL, a monument which dates from the Average Age. A little higher, at the end of a road is always a Dolmen. Its bell-tower wall carries the testimony of a building formerly vaster.
With the south-eastern angle of construction a long block of stone embedded supports a graphic reproduction whose significance is ignored to date. Inside the vault one finds a beautiful retable.
The Forgiveness of Saint GONVEL took place formerly third Sunday of September and was a beautiful success of multitude. On the hillock above, near the dolmen, “a cross of the Navy” which dominated the place until its destruction about fifty years ago by vandals.
