Niles used to by a small town before Fremont was incorporated in the 1950s. The city of Fremont is made up of five smaller town (now all distinctive neighborhoods) Niles is best known as being the place where Charlie Chaplin filmed most of his early movies.
The waymark is from the corner of Niles and Mission Blvd (by the 7-11)
