The Riley & Sarah Ann Graves House Built c. 1892 is significant for it's association with Sandy's historical development. Their cross-wing home was a common house type during this period. Despite some modifications made in the 1950s the house maintains most of it's historic integrity.
Riley & Sarah Ann Graves were farmers and early settlers of Sandy. It is assumed that the Graves had the home build soon after they purchased the property and then lived there with their three sons. Riley also served on the Sandy City police force and later died while serving a term as Justice of the Peace in 1900. Sarah later moved out and sold the house to George Turpin in 1920. George lived here with his second wife until he died in 1926. The Bolliger family bought the property in 1952.
