The Apple Valley Recreational Loop Trail is 13 miles total. It goes around the Columbia River and over two bridges. It has a spur that extends up towards Rock Island. There are many entrances to the Loop trail, and most of them are a named park.

This is the Linden Tree Area entrance.

Linden Tree is a bit more laid back then the other parks. It is smaller, and narrow. It is snuggled between Riverfront Park to the South, and Walla Walla Park to the North.

Linden features a stream that comes out of a small wetlands area and feeds into the Columbia, with a small wooden bridge over it. There is a large old wooden barn near the water that houses kayaks and canoes, some of which you can rent (not sure from whom). There is a quiet shady place near the barn and stream.

Very picturesque and peaceful.
