When the Werner Von Braun Civic Center was newly completed, they wanted to open it with a bang. They booked Elvis for the christening. At 3am on May 30, 1975, Elvis arrived in town. He gave 5 concerts in 3 days. After he left, fans got into his room and grabed many souvenirs, including the sheets from his bed. On September 6th, 1976, he returned to do two shows.
